Scotland’s Hate Crime and Public Order Act came into force recently, which could see offenders sent to jail for “stirring up hate” about an individual’s age, disability, religion, sexual orientation and gender identity. This new law has sparked a heated debate and Author JK Rowling has made many a headline on the topic.
